The Story Behind the Image
Monitoring is drawn at the two ends of life: one end an infant, the other an elderly person. The auscultation piece rests on the body, and the screen signals a sound event with an onomatopoeic 'gu-lu-gu' — no numbers written, yet the inaudible body signal becomes instantly perceptible. Posture and care situations differ at each end; the monitoring is the same act throughout.
